Privacy Policy

How LinkExpo.io collects, uses and protects your information — and why buyer and publisher identities never reach each other.

Last updated: 13 August 2026
🔒 The short version. We collect the minimum needed to run your orders: your email, contact details, and the content you submit. We never sell your data, and buyers and publishers never see each other's identity — all communication routes through LinkExpo.

1. Who we are

LinkExpo.io ("LinkExpo", "we", "us") operates a marketplace connecting content buyers with website publishers offering guest post placements. This policy explains what we do with personal information when you use our website and services.

For any privacy question, contact us at support@linkexpo.io.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what the service needs to function:

CategoryWhat it includesWhy we need it
Account detailsName, email address, password (stored hashed, never in plain text), account role (buyer or publisher)To create and secure your account
Contact detailsCountry and phone numberOrder notifications and account recovery

Listing detailsDomain, niche, traffic and metrics submitted by publishersTo display listings on the marketplace

Technical dataIP address, browser type, pages visitedSecurity, fraud prevention and improving the site

We do not store full payment card numbers. Payments are handled by third-party payment providers, who process card and wallet details under their own privacy terms.

3. How we use your information

  • To create your account and authenticate you when you log in
  • To process orders and pass your submitted content to the correct publisher
  • To notify you about order status, delivery, and payouts
  • To calculate and release publisher payouts
  • To resolve disputes and refund requests
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and duplicate listings
  • To meet accounting, tax and legal obligations
  • To respond when you contact support

We do not use your data for automated decision-making that produces legal effects, and we do not sell your personal information to anyone.

4. Identity protection between buyers and publishers

✅ This is a core design principle of the platform, not an optional setting.
  • Publishers never receive a buyer's email, name or identity. They receive only the content to be published and the order reference.
  • Buyers never receive a publisher's email or contact details. Site domains are masked until an order is confirmed.
  • All communication routes through LinkExpo support. Notification emails are sent from our address, so replies come back to us rather than to the other party.

Our administrators can see both sides — this is necessary to fulfil orders, verify delivery and resolve disputes.

5. Sharing your information

We share personal information only in these situations:

  • Publishers receive your submitted content and instructions — never your identity or contact details.
  • Payment providers process transactions and receive the details needed to complete a payment.
  • Service providers such as our hosting and email delivery providers process data on our behalf under contract.
  • Legal authorities, where we are legally required to disclose information, or to protect our rights, users or the public.
  • A successor entity, if LinkExpo is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets — you would be notified beforehand.

We never sell, rent or trade your personal information for marketing purposes.

6. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember preferences, and understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies will prevent you from staying logged in.

See our Cookie Policy for the full breakdown.

7. Data retention

  • Account data is kept while your account is active.
  • Order and transaction records are retained after completion for accounting, tax and dispute-resolution purposes, in line with applicable legal retention periods.
  • Submitted content is retained for the duration of the order and a reasonable period afterwards in case of a dispute.
  • Technical logs are kept for a limited period for security purposes.

If you ask us to delete your account, we will remove your personal data except where we are legally required to retain certain transaction records.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including:

  • Passwords stored using one-way hashing — we never see or store your actual password
  • Access tokens that expire and can be revoked by logging out
  • Encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the site
  • Access controls restricting who on our side can view order data
  • Regular security monitoring of the platform
⚠️ No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password and log out on shared devices.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
  • Request deletion of your personal data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Receive a copy of your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

To exercise any of these, email support@linkexpo.io. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity first.

10. Children's privacy

LinkExpo is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. International transfers

LinkExpo operates online and our service providers may be located in different countries. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in line with this policy.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves or as legal requirements change. The "last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised. For significant changes, we will notify registered users by email.

13. Contact us

Questions, requests or complaints about privacy can be sent to support@linkexpo.io. If you're not satisfied with our response, you may have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
