Refund Policy

When you get your money back, when you don't, and how the escrow protects both sides of every order.

Last updated: 13 August 2026
💸 The short version. Your payment is held in escrow, not passed to the publisher. If the post isn't delivered as described within the stated window, you get your money back. No cancellation fees, ever.

1. How escrow protects you

When you place an order, your payment is held by LinkExpo rather than sent straight to the publisher. It is only released after:

  • The publisher submits a live URL, and
  • We verify the post is published and the link is working as described

This means your money is never sitting with an unresponsive publisher, and there is always a balance available to refund if something goes wrong.

2. When you are entitled to a full refund

You can request a full refund if any of the following happens:

  • The post is never published and the stated turnaround window has passed.
  • The publisher becomes unresponsive and cannot complete the order.
  • The published link doesn't match the listing — for example, the listing said do-follow but the link is no-follow, or the page is set to no-index.
  • Your target URL or anchor text was changed without your agreement.
  • The post is published on a different site than the one you ordered.
  • The site's real metrics are materially different from what was listed — for example, traffic or authority substantially misrepresented.
  • The live URL doesn't work or leads to a page that doesn't contain your content.
  • You cancelled before publication (see section 5).

Where practical, we may first offer a replacement placement on a comparable site. If you prefer a refund, a refund is what you get — the choice is yours.

3. When a refund is not available

Refunds are not given in these situations:

  • The post was published correctly as described. Delivery of the agreed placement completes the order.
  • SEO results didn't meet expectations. You are buying a placement, not a ranking outcome. No one can guarantee rankings or traffic.
  • You changed your mind after publication. Once the content is live on a third-party site, the publisher's work is done.
  • Your submitted content was rejected for breaching our content rules — though in this case you may resubmit compliant content instead.
  • A search engine devalues or penalises the link. This is outside the publisher's and our control.
  • You supplied incorrect target URLs or anchor text and the publisher used exactly what you provided.
⚠️ Please double-check your target URL and anchor text before ordering — once published exactly as you submitted them, corrections require a new order.

4. Link removed after publication

Listings marked permanent are expected to stay live indefinitely.

  • If a link is removed within 6 months of publication, contact us with the order ID. We will ask the publisher to restore it, and if they don't, arrange a replacement placement on a comparable site or issue a refund.
  • Beyond 6 months, we will still contact the publisher on your behalf, but a refund is at our discretion.
  • If a publisher's entire site goes offline, we treat it the same as a removed link.

5. Cancelling an order

There is no cancellation fee at any stage.

6. How to request a refund

  1. Email support@linkexpo.io from the email address on your account.
  2. Include your order ID (for example ORD-482913) — you'll find it in your buyer dashboard.
  3. Briefly describe the problem. If the issue is a wrong or broken link, include the live URL you were given.

We aim to acknowledge refund requests within 1 business day and reach a decision within 5 business days. Cases involving an unresponsive publisher may take slightly longer while we attempt contact.

7. Processing time and method

  • Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method wherever possible.
  • Refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days of approval.
  • The time for funds to appear in your account depends on your payment provider or bank.
  • We refund the full amount paid. LinkExpo does not deduct any handling fee from a refund.

8. Effect on publisher payouts

Because funds are held in escrow, a refund before delivery does not take money back from a publisher — no payout had been released. Where a payout has already been released and a refund is later granted (for example, a link removed shortly after publication), the amount may be offset against the publisher's future payouts.

9. Chargebacks

If you believe an order has gone wrong, please contact us first — we can almost always resolve it faster than a payment dispute. Raising a chargeback without contacting support may result in your account being suspended while the dispute is investigated. Chargebacks filed in bad faith on delivered orders are a breach of our Terms & Conditions.

10. Contact

All refund questions and requests go to support@linkexpo.io. Include your order ID so we can look it up immediately.
